The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) will once again hold its Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction at Kentucky Speedway on Friday, June 27. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on the chance to ride in a Parade Lap truck with their favorite NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver during the pre-race festivities before the Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts on Saturday, June 28.
Online registration for the auction is currently available on SCC’s website. Fans can pre-register for the event until Sunday, June 22. Once online registration is closed, registration will only be available on-site the day of the auction. The registration tent, which will open at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 27, will be located in front of the display stage near Gate 13 at Kentucky Speedway.
The live auction is one of SCC’s top fundraisers, and Chapter Director Dayna Winslette hopes that this will be the most successful year yet. “We have a great lineup of drivers participating in the auction this year,” said Winslette. “It is a wonderful opportunity for fans to enjoy a unique experience with NASCAR’s best drivers and help support a great cause at the same time.”
Drivers who are currently scheduled to participate in the auction include Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, and SCC National Spokesperson Carl Edwards. A complete list of drivers can be found on the chapter’s website at http://kentucky.speedwaycharities.org/. It is important to note that all drivers are tentatively scheduled to participate, and the list of drivers is subject to change.
All funds raised from each driver’s participation are split between Speedway Children’s Charities and the driver’s charity of choice, which means several organizations have the opportunity to benefit from the live auction.
In addition to the Ride of a Lifetime experiences, SCC will also be auctioning off sheet metal, racing tires, and NASCAR memorabilia.
