Taking place in the mountains of Austria, the Kitzbühel Alpine Rally features some of Europe’s most timeless classics. This year’s event, which wrapped up at the end of last moth and is summarized by the above video, saw around 300 vintage vehicles participate.
The Volkswagen Group serves as one of the primary sponsors of the event, and the German company seems to be very well represented, especially since it took advantage of this year’s event to showcase the heritage surrounding the 40th anniversary of its Polo model.
The event seems to command a hefty majority of German marques, with Porsche, Mercedes, VW, and other classics well-represented. WRC champion Sebastian Ogier took part, as did former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Hans-Joachim Struck.
