The Ferrari LaFerrari is the most powerful and prestigious car the Prancing Horse has ever produced. As one of the premier supercars in the world, the LaFerrari ranks among the most iconic cars on the market today. However, with word that a LaFerrari XX is now under development, the car is poised to become even more powerful.
Titled the LaFerrari XX, because the model has not received a definitive name yet, there will only be in the neighborhood of a few dozen model units produced. This will add to the total number of 499 LeFerraris, all of which have already been sold out. Most of the XX model variants will be exclusively track cars, that will be available to only the most loyal customers of the Ferrari marque.
The LaFerrari XX will be largely similar to the standard LaFerrari, but will have a series of performance and cosmetic upgrades. The car will employ the Ferrari 6.3 liter V12 and will have employ the LaFerrari’s hybrid setup with the twin motor generator Hy-KERS setup. Power output will be increased from 950 horsepower to a whopping 1,050 horsepower.
For the new model variant, Ferrari has placed a premium on handling and on-track experience. Various upgrades have been made to the car’s aerodynamics. Downforce has been greatly improved, and a host of upgrades to the suspension and traction system have also been made. Ferrari will debut the LaFerrari XX in December at a special event in Abu Dhabi.
