Inspired by the company’s seventh place finish in last year’s 24 Hours Nürburgring, Toyota has decided to grant the Corolla the prestige of a Nürburgring badge.
Powered by a 1.8 liter naturally aspirated in-line four cylinder, the car produces a paltry 141 horsepower, delivered to a continuously variable transmission to drive the front wheels.
So, while the new aero kit and 17 inch alloy wheels give the car the proper superficial profile, many are disappointed with the car’s mechanics.
It looks like their dreams of challenging the Civic Type R died right where they began. Nonetheless, this one probably won’t ever make it to US showrooms, but we’re probably not missing anything anyway.
