With the Viper not selling as well recently, here is something to cheer up all of the Viper enthusiasts out there,
[youtube id=”1JtYMPfbTso” width=”800″ height=”450″]The engine pictured is a Chrysler 8.3 liter V10 with a twin-turbocharger setup and some pretty extensive exhaust modifications. Notice the extensive five into one headers and the reworked intake manifold. The project was done by Tom and Dave at Nelson Racing Engines. Ultimately, the engine is going to the Roadster Shop, who are putting this monster into a 1969 Dodge Charger. All told, the engine has a final output of around 1,200 horsepower. If one thing is for certain, this is going to make for one gnarly ride once it’s fitted. Regardless of how this project turns out, it sure sounds awesome.
