The Alfa Romeo 4C, which heralded the return of the Alfa Romeo brand to the United States this past June, has been long due to get a convertible variant entitled the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. And the good news is: here in America, we’re getting that one too. Long under wraps, here is the first footage of the new car, filmed in Spain during road testing.
Sporting Alfa Romeo’s 1.75 liter turbocharged in-line four cylinder engine, which propels the car to sixty mph in a mere 4.1 seconds, the 4C produces 237 horsepower. The 4C Spider will also make use of a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, as well as a re-tuned suspension for 2015. The 4C Spider promises to be just as well-performing and rigid as its hard-top cousin. Expect more details to come early in 2015.
