Here is a little engine that packs a punch![youtube id=”WP9Nw0aJKH8″ width=”800″ height=”450″]What you’re looking at here is a single cylinder superstock engine, built to be implemented in the growing garden tractor pulling scene. A flathead, side valve design, the engine displaces 50.6 cubic inches. Employing a single 56 mm VM carbeurator and, running on methanol, the engine puts out over 70 hp and reaches in excess of 6,00 rpm when run on the dyno. Also of note, the engine is air-cooled and uses an MSD programmable ignition system by VM. This little engine runs so hot during its time on the dyno, you can see the exhaust pipes turning bright red, and it kicks out a respectable dose of fire at the end.
